2010 Annual Meeting in Charleston, SC – Volunteers needed

AEG Carolinas’ is looking for volunteers to help with planning and running the AEG 2010 Annual Meeting in Charleston, SC, September 20-26. You do not have to live in Charleston to help! This is a great opportunity to get more involved with AEG, and be a part of the biggest event AEG will hold in 2010. Click here for a full description of all of the committees.   • Welcome! Our Section serves the environmental and engineering geology profession and the public in North Carolina and South Carolina. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Association of Engineering Geologists, click here.

 

  • We are on a mission to collect pre-digital copies of the GeoNews newsletter. As they are collected, they are being scanned and loaded on the Newsletter page. Phil Winchester edited the newsletter when it was in type format. If you can locate any copies of these newsletter published prior to 2004, please cantact Tami Idol at Webmaster@aegcarolinas.org.

 

  • We invite you to participate in our quarterly meetings. These are held in different parts of the Carolinas and provide opportunities for all our members and visitors to attend. Our newsletter provides current news of the profession — current and recent past issues are at this site as PDF files. Our 'Contact' page introduces you to our officers and committees. The links page connects you to technical and professional information.

Current Employment Oportunities

Current employment opportunities are posted on this site as a benefit to our membership. If your company has vacancies for any level position that may be applicable to the membership of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists, please send the posting to Webmaster@aegcarolinas.org. Postings will remain available for three months on this site, unless the position is filled or a request is made for an extension.

Educational Activities

We participate in professional educational and development activities. We also have an active geological education outreach program to help serve the needs of teachers and the public. We maintain a professional meeting calendar to assist members' continuing education and professional development. Our sponsors support our many Section activities including our newsletter, meetings and this Internet site.
